At Macaroni KID Turlock-Ceres, we're excited to launch our very first Mom of the Month feature by spotlighting an incredible local mom who is making a difference in her family, her business, and our community.
This month, we're thrilled to introduce Hannah Miranda, the owner of Hannah's House Bakery!
Meet Hannah
Hannah is a wife, mom, dental professional, educator, and entrepreneur. She and her husband are raising their energetic 3-year-old daughter, and Hannah also helps raise her younger sister. For the past 10 years, she has worked as a Registered Dental Assistant in Orthodontics and Oral Surgery, serving patients with care and compassion.
Three years ago, Hannah added another title to her resume: bakery owner. Through Hannah's House Bakery, she creates delicious homemade treats while continuing to serve her community in a completely different way.
"When I'm not baking or working in dentistry, you can find me teaching students how to become dental assistants on Saturdays," Hannah shares.
Turning a Challenge Into a Passion
Like many moms, Hannah's journey into business ownership began during a difficult season of life.
After experiencing postpartum depression and anxiety while her husband was working over the road as a truck driver, she found herself searching for an outlet. One sleepless night, she came across a recipe for churro cheesecake bars and decided to give it a try.
"I thought to myself, 'How hard could that be?'"
That simple decision sparked a passion that quickly grew into something much bigger. What started with cheesecake bars expanded into cookies, cupcakes, dipped treats, and even sourdough creations. Today, Hannah's House Bakery has become a beloved local business.
Balancing Motherhood and Business
For Hannah, one of the greatest blessings of owning her own business is being able to stay present with her daughter.
"We've started our homeschooling journey, and I bake orders at night while she's asleep," she says.
By building her business around her family's schedule, Hannah has created a balance that allows her to pursue her passion while still prioritizing motherhood.
A Rewarding Journey
When asked about the most rewarding part of her journey so far, Hannah's answer was inspiring.
"Honestly, being able to prove myself wrong. Having doubts about things but still showing up and giving it 110%."
Her determination and willingness to keep moving forward, even when facing uncertainty, have helped her grow both personally and professionally.
Overcoming Challenges
Like many small business owners, Hannah has experienced slower seasons and moments of doubt.
"Sometimes orders can be slow, and that can be frustrating and make you feel like you're not doing enough."
What keeps her going?
"I've always just prayed on it and kept pushing. Orders will come. Just keep putting yourself out there."
Her faith, perseverance, and positive outlook continue to guide her through the challenges of entrepreneurship.
Advice for Other Moms
For moms who are thinking about starting a business or pursuing a dream, Hannah has a simple but powerful message:
"DO IT! Don't wait for the perfect time—it's never a perfect time. Just start somewhere, even if it's small. What matters at the end of the day is that you showed up for yourself."

Hannah loves living and working in a community that values family.
"We always have great experiences and events going on for families to have fun. We love and support our community and everyone in it."
It's that sense of connection and support that makes Turlock-Ceres such a special place to call home.
Family Fun Time
When Hannah isn't working, baking, or teaching, she loves spending quality time with family and friends.
Their favorite activities include hosting backyard barbecues, gathering with loved ones, and watching the kids run around and simply enjoy being kids. They also love taking day trips to the zoo, visiting farms, and exploring indoor play centers together.
